L. ANDREW HALTOM
L. Andrew Haltom, a personnel manager in San Francisco, died Sunday at home in Novato after a brief illness.
He was 39.
Mr. Haltom was a native of Humboldt, Tenn.
He was a graduate of the University of North Carolina and served as a captain in the Marine Corps.
Mr. Haltom joined the accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand in Philadelphia in 1974 and moved to the firm’s San Francisco office in 1978.
He became a partner in the firm in 1982 and most recently worked as regional director of personnel and administration.
Mr. Haltom was active in Business Volunteers for the Arts, Which helps museums and other cultural organizations with financial and personnel management.
He also served on the Committee on Human Resources of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Haltom is survived by his wife, Elaine Haltom, and his son, Max Haltom, both of Novato.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 2515 Fillmore St., San Francisco.
