For killing Oscar Longfellow, a Los Angeles traffic officer to avoid being arrested for disturbing the peace, Francisco Casaba, 42, was executed at San Quentin prison at 10 o’clock last Friday morning. Following his conviction, Casaba lost an appeal to the State Supreme Court. The condemned claims that the fatal shot was caused by Longfellow’s gun being discharged in a scuffle.
