LESTER W. SPEDICK
The Mass of Christian Burial for Lester W. Spedick of Novato will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Loretto Church in Novato.
Mr. Spedick died Sunday at the Hill Road Convalescent Hospital in Novato. He was 89.
He was a native of Brooklyn.
He was a veteran of World War I.
He was a member of the Marin Whistlestop of Novato, Sons in Retirement Inc. of San Francisco and Novato Senior Citizens.
Mr. Spedick is survived by two daughters, Barbara Hall of San Francisco and Patricia Coenen of Novato; a son, Paul Spedick of Santa Rosa; a brother, Robert Spedick of New York; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Redwood Chapel of Novato.
Burial will take place at Mount Olivet Cemetery in San Rafael.
The family prefers memorial gifts to St. Anthony’s Dining Room in San Francisco or to a favorite charity.

Spedick; he was the grandfather of Sandra Bley of San Francisco, John Hall of Berkeley, Cynthia Westhof of Boston, Mass., Robert Hall of San Francisco, Peter L. Coenen of Novato, Annelle Coenen Geddes of Brentwood, Robert Coenen Geddes of Richcrest, Matthew Coenen Geddes and Christopher Coenen Geddes both of Novato, Paul C. Spedick Jr. of Petaluma, Michael J. Spedick of Santa Cruz, Margaret A. Patrick of Saratoga, Susan M. Mariam of Mill Valley; he was the father-in-law of Marie Spedick and Fred V. Hall, friend of Elizabeth Obermeier.
