JOHN MUSSO
John Musso of Tiburon, longtime bakery shop owner, died Wednesday at the Hillside Manor Convalescent Hospital in San Rafael after a brief illness.
Mr. Musso, a native of Italy, had lived many years in Tiburon.
He retired 20 years ago after owning the Maison Musso Bakery for 50 years. Mr. Musso was also well known in San Francisco as a bakery chef at the Olympic Club before moving to Marin and opening his own bakery.
Mr. Musso was honored in 1984 as a founding member of the Volunteer Firemens Association of Tiburon. He was also a charter member of the Belvedere-Tiburon Landmarks Society.
He has no immediate survivors.
A funeral will be held at 8 p.m. Friday at the Russell & Gooch Funeral Chapel in Mill Valley.
Entombment will be private at Mount Olivet Cemetery in San Rafael. Friends may call at the funeral home after 8 a.m. Friday.
