Mrs. Nettie Jones Called By Death At Advanced Age
Mrs. Nettie Jones, wife of the late Dr. W. F. Jones, and one of the most beloved pioneer residents of this section of the state, passed away last Friday at the age of 77 years.
On the eve of her passing, there shone from the tower of the First Presbyterian Church of this city a bright electrical star, which Mrs. Jones and her late husband presented to the church some time ago. Mrs. Jones was a native of New York, and had spent most of her life in California, 50 years of which was spent in San Rafael where her late husband had an extensive practice.
Mrs. Jones was the sister of the late Judge Allison Ware of Santa Rosa and Charles P. Ware, pioneer San Rafael resident. She was the mother of Farrington L. Jones, San Anselmo and San Rafael real estate broker, Major Allison Ware Jones of Fort Stevens, Oregon, and Mrs. Mildred M. Fly (?) of Knoxville, Tennessee.
She also leaves four grandchildren and seven nephews and nieces.
