R. LLOYD LITCHFIELD

R. Lloyd Litchfield of Greenbrae, a longtime newspaper advertising executive, died Wednesday at the Marin Convalescent Hospital in Tiburon. He was 92.

Mr. Litchfield, a native of San Francisco, had lived in Greenbrae since 1955. During World War I, he served with the Army in France.

For 40 years, he worked in the advertising department for the then San Francisco Call Bulletin. Mr. Litchfield was advertising director when her retired in the late 1950s.

Mr. Litchfield was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, the Commonwealth Club and the Marin Rod and Gun Club.

Mr. Litchfield was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Litchfield. He is survived by his daughter, Joan L. Smith of Tiburon; two grandsons; and a great-grandson.

At his request, there will be no service.
