CHARLES J. OOGHE
A private service will be held for Charles J. Ooghe, a San Francisco waterfront worker and longtime San Rafael resident.
Mr. Ooghe, who was 66, died Saturday at Kaiser Hospital in San Rafael after a long illness.
For 48 years, he worked on the San Francisco waterfront for Transpacific Transportation, Pacific Oriental Terminals and Indies Terminals. When he retired in 1982, he was a supervisor of the supercargo division.
He was a member of the Ship Clerks Association in San Francisco.
He was born in San Francisco and grew up on the Peninsula. He graduated from Sacred Heart School in San Francisco and College of San Mateo.
Mr. Ooghe is survived by his wife, Norma Tewksbury Ooghe; two brothers, Arthur T. Ooghe of San Diego and Desmond J. Ooghe of Belmont; and a sister, Winifred Quilty of Burlingame.
