MARGARET BACKSTEDT
Margaret “Peggy” Backstedt of La Mesa, a former Marin resident, died Sunday in La Mesa.
Mrs. Backstedt lived many years in Marin before moving to the San Diego area.
She was a graduate of San Rafael High School and worked 15 years at Marin General Hospital.
Mrs. Backstedt was an avid bowler and participated in leagues in Marin and Petaluma.
She is survived by her husband, Roger W. Backstedt of La Mesa; a son, Scott Backstedt; a daughter, Traci Backstedt; her parents, Matthew Van Keuren and Winnie Van Keuren; and two sisters, Dana Nelson and Julie Van Keuren.
