JOE HARPER DUNLAP

A funeral for Joe Harper Dunlap of Petaluma will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Parent-Sorensen Mortuary in Petaluma.

Mr. Dunlap, 62, died unexpectedly on Friday while he was vacationing with his wife at a Thousand Trails Recreation Center in Jamul, San Diego County.

He retired in 1972 from a 30-year career with the Air Force. He was last stationed at Hamilton Air Force Base in Novato.

Mr. Dunlap was born in Jackson City, Ark. He had lived in Petaluma since 1971, a year before he retired.

In addition to his wife, Earlee Dunlap of Petaluma, Mr. Dunlap is survived by three sons, Thomas Dunlap of Mich., Joe Dunlap Jr. of Novato and Ollie Dunlap of Maryland; three daughters, Genice Stemmons of Petaluma, Jo Ann Chock of Novato and Sandy Reed of Alameda; and 12 grandchildren.

Friends may call at the mortuary after 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Burial will be at Cypress Hill Memorial Park in Petaluma.
