DONALD R. CHESNUT
A Catholic service has been held in Santa Rosa for Donald R. Chesnut of Rohnert Park, a former San Anselmo and San Rafael resident.
Mr. Chesnut, who was 64, died March 20 in a Santa Rosa hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Chesnut was born in Iowa. He served with the Army Air Corps during World War II and then worked at Hamilton Air Force Base for 30 years.
He had lived in Rohnert Park for the past 25 years.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Santa Rosa Moose Lodge and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Norma J. Chesnut; one son, Dennis J. Link of Pleasant Hill; his mother, Elizabeth Chesnut of Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Jerry Gross of Iowa and Doris Chesnut of Pomona; and one brother, Quinton Chesnut of Pomona.
Burial was in Santa Rosa Memorial Park.
