Melvin Howe, 75, of Corte Madera, died unexpectedly Wednesday at Marin General Hospital.
Daphne Funerals-Marin mortuary in Corte Madera is handling the arrangements.

MELVIN E. HOWE
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. today for Melvin E. Howe, a longtime Corte Madera resident who died Wednesday at Marin General Hospital after a brief illness. He was 75.
Mr. Howe was born in Blair, Neb., and came to Marin County in 1954. He was an accountant many years for the Foremost-McKesson Co. before retiring in 1972.
Survivors include his wife, Olga Howe; one daughter, Karen Passman of Greenbrae; one granddaughter, Ashley Passman; and three sisters, Lola Downing of LaConner, Wash., Josephine Marshal of Citrus Heights, and Carolyn Heacock of Sacramento.
The memorial service will be at Holy Innocents Episcopal Church, 2 Tamalpais Drive, Corte Madera.
The family prefers donations be directed to Holy Innocents Episcopal Church or the Heart Fund.
