ELIZABETH GRABE

Miss ELIZABETH GRABE, 24, 2257 Vallejo Street, San Francisco, ended her life Tuesday night by drinking poison, following a pleasant evening at her home with several friends and her fiance, WILLIAM MONTAGUE, 25, of 51 Turk Street.

According to MONTAGUE, after the guests had left, Miss GRABE asked to be excused and went upstairs. Within a few minutes she returned, MONTAGUE says, with an empty glass in her hand. She said, "Oh, honey, see what I've done," and collapsed.

MONTAGUE called Miss PAULINE MOORE, who resides in the house with Miss GRABE and the pair attempted to administer first aid, while waiting for the ambulance. Miss GRABE died on the way to the hospital.

She is known in Marin County where she attended Marin Junior College, graduating in 1937.
