GEORGE M. TIAFFAY
A Mass of Christian Burial for George M. Tiaffay of Newman, Stanislaus County, son of Margaret Niblock of San Anselmo, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joachim’s Catholic Church, Newman.
Mr. Tiaffay died unexpectedly Sunday at the West Side Community Hospital in Stanislaus County at the age of 47. He was a native of San Mateo. Mr. Tiaffay worked as a butcher and a farmer.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Miriam Tiaffay of Newman; three daughters, Maria, Bernadette and Jennifer Tiaffay, all of Newman; two sons, George and Patrick Tiaffay, both of Newman; two sisters, Jane Vernon of St. Paul, Minn., and Mary Niblock of San Anselmo; and a brother, Daniel Niblock of Seattle.
The rosary will be recited at 7 tonight at Hillview Funeral Chapel in Newman. Burial will be at Hills-Ferry Cemetery.
