JOAN M. PETTIT
A funeral for Joan M. Pettit, a Novato resident for 20 years, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Keaton’s Chapel of Marin in Novato.
She died Monday at home after a six-month illness. She was 46.
Mrs. Pettit was born in San Francisco, living there until moving to Novato.
Mrs. Pettit attended City College of San Francisco. She worked for the past year with the county, helping senior citizens with their household chores.
She belonged to the Open Door Christian Church in Novato.
Surviving are her husband, Robert L. Pettit of Novato; four sons, Steven Johnson of Novato, Bob Pettit of Rohnert Park, Patrick Pettit of Springfield, Mass., and Gary Pettit of Grant’s Pass, Ore.; two daughters, Janelle Johnson of Terra Linda and Charlene Nelson of Grant’s Pass, Ore.; two brothers, Robert Bray of Concord and Richard Bray of Rohnert Park; a sister, Lorraine Priolo of Novato; and eight grandchildren.
The family prefers memorial contributions to Hospice of Marin.
Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park, Novato.
