AMY ERIN TUESCHER
Amy Erin Tuescher, vice president of the senior class at Tamalpais High School, died Tuesday at Marin General Hospital after a short illness. She was 18.
She was born in Dallas, Texas, and moved to Mill Valley with her family in 1967.
Miss Tuescher had also held other class offices during her academic career. She was active in the school’s Model United Nations and Los Amigos de Las Americas.
She also was a swimmer on the Tamalpais varsity swim team and was a 10-year member of the Indian Valley Aquatic Club. Miss Tuescher was a member of the Friends of the Mill Valley Library.
She is survived by her parents, Peg and Ed Tuescher of Mill Valley; two sisters, Brigid and Suzanne Tuescher of Mill Valley; a brother, Ted Tuescher of Mill Valley; and her grandparents, Helen Hennessey of Madison Heights, Mich., and Edward Tuescher Sr. of Huntington Woods, Mich.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Russell and Gooch Funeral Chapel in Mill Valley.
A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Mill Valley Outdoor Art Club. Private burial will be at Fernwood Cemetery in Mill Valley.
The family prefers that contributions be made to the University of California, Diabetics Teaching Center, Parnassus Ave., San Francisco or the Los Amigos de Las America, P. O. Box 766, Larkspur, 94939.
