William Barnes was found dead by immigration officers Jake Cardon and E. J. Richards, on the hull Omaha, on Wednesday, the body indicating that life has been extinct for about twenty-four hours. The deceased was about 45 years old, and lived at El Campo, and had been working on the boat for about three weeks. An autopsy was held on Thursday morning by Drs. Kuser, Jones, Stone and Wickman. The result of the autopsy has not been made known, but it is supposed that death ensued from natural causes.
