RICHARD T. IRWIN

A funeral for Richard T. Irwin of Bloomfield, a former Novato resident, will be held at 11 a.m. today in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Rohnert Park.

Mr. Irwin, 77, died Friday at Petaluma Valley Hospital after a short illness.

He was a native of Merna, Wyo. He moved to California in 1955 and made his home in Novato. He moved to Bloomfield in 1965.

He had worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps in Wyoming during the Depression. In California, he worked for the Exxon Corp. retiring in 1970.

He was a member of the Rohnert Park First Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Operating Engineers Union and Vitruvius Masonic Lodge No. 145 of Bloomfield. He also was president of the Bloomfield Community Club.

Mr. Irwin is survived by his wife, Leona Irwin of Petaluma; a son, Richard W. Irwin of Napa; a daughter, Joyce Quinn of Petaluma; a brother, Norman Irwin of Michigan; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit at the Parent-Sorensen Mortuary in Petaluma after 4 p.m. today.

The family prefers memorial contributions to the Bloomfield Community Club, in care of Charles Pierce, 6700 Moro Road, Petaluma, 94952.
