Mrs. Pentz Dies Suddenly in New York

The friends of Mrs. W. R. Pentz were shocked to hear of her sudden death, which occurred in New York City on Sunday night last.

Mrs. Pentz, accompanied by her maid and two little girls, went East three weeks ago to visit her sisters, and was in her usual health when she fell on the street on Sunday night and lived only two hours after.

Mrs. Frank Anderson immediately received a telegram announcing the sad event. Mr. Pentz, who is assistant cashier in the Bank of California, left for New York on Monday.

Mrs. Pentz belonged to one of the oldest and most aristocratic families of the Empire state, and her beautiful character, even more than her culture and accomplishments, endeared her to a large coterie of devoted friends.

She was a churchwoman who exemplified the graces of the Christian religion, and will be sadly missed as a worker and worshipper in St. Paul’s congregation.

Her bereaved husband and little daughters have the sincerest sympathy of all who have known them in San Rafael.
