BETTY OTIS
Marin beautician
Betty Otis of Novato, a cosmetologist and longtime San Rafael resident, died Friday, Feb. 8, 1991 at Marin General Hospital.
She was 67.
Mrs. Otis was a native of Oakland and reared in San Rafael. She attended San Rafael High School, where she was a yell leader.
She attended cosmetology school and worked as a beautician for many years, most recently at The Emporium in Northgate Mall.
In her spare time, Mrs. Otis enjoyed playing golf.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Otis of Novato; two sons, Roy J. Otis of Moraga and Richard C. Otis of Mountain View; a daughter, Margie Ann Faulkner of Dana Point, Orange County; and five grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Loretto Church in Novato.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Keaton’s Redwood Chapel of Marin in Novato.
Burial will be private.
Vigil services will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
Memorial gifts are preferred to the Hospice of Marin or the Salvation Army.
