Natalie J. Holly Rites Held
Private funeral was held Saturday for Natalie J. Holly, 74, San Rafael attorney and resident since 1931. Mrs. Holly died Friday in a San Francisco Hospital following a long illness.
A native of New York, Mrs. Holly received many college degrees, including a bachelor of science from Adelphi College in New York, a master of arts from the University of Nevada in addition to master degrees in English and psychology. She received her legal training from Boalt Hall, University of California.
The widow of R. A. Thompson of the 100-year-old Marin French Cheese Co., Mrs. Holly resided at 834 Fifth Street in San Rafael.
Her legal work included domestic relations, corporation, and criminal cases. She practiced law until shortly before her death, making court appearances earlier this year. She was a member of the American Bar Association, California and Marin County Bar Association, chapter president and member of the Soroptimist Club of Marin County, and the San Rafael chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include one daughter, Janice H. Bash of Tiburon, and a grandchild.

A Death Notice in the same paper mentions her late daughter, Norma Tanner,
and her late husband, Rudolf A. Thompson; also her grandchild, Leland H. Tanner, United States Navy, West Lafayette, Ind. Memorial service was held Saturday, May 8 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Ross. Memorial contributions preferred to the American Cancer Society.
