NORMAN L. ACKLEY

A memorial service for Norman L. Ackley of Kentfield will be held at 11:30 a.m. next Tuesday at St. Anselm’s Church in Ross.

Mr. Ackley, 79, died May 14 at Eisenhower Memorial Hospital in Rancho Mirage, Riverside County, after a brief illness.

Mr. Ackley was born in Vanceboro, Maine. He moved to the Bay Area in 1915 and was graduated in 1928 from the University of California at Berkeley. He was a member of the Delta Upsilon fraternity.

He was chairman of the board of the Musto Companies in San Francisco. He had worked for the firm since 1946.

Mr. Ackley was a member of the Meadow Club in Fairfax, the Springs Club in Rancho Mirage and the Gordon Sproul Associates.

He is survived by his wife, Romilda Ackley of Kentfield; a son, Norman L. Ackley Jr. of San Anselmo; and two grandchildren.

The family prefers memorial donations to a favorite charity.
