MABEL F. DICKEY

Mabel Florence Dickey, a longtime Marin resident, died Tuesday at the Rafael Convalescent Hospital in San Rafael after a short illness. She was 98.

She was born in Salina, Colo., and at the age of 13 moved with her family to Boulder. She lived there until moving to Vallejo in 1907.

Mrs. Dickey moved to Marin County in 1922, living in Fairfax, San Anselmo and most recently, San Rafael. She also lived for brief periods in Penngrove and Ukiah, but returned to Marin in 1941.

She was a homemaker. Her husband, Fred Evans Dickey, died in 1941.

She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Baxter of San Rafael and Barbara Long of Susanville; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a great-great grandson.

Graveside services will be held at 10:45 a.m. Thursday at Woodlawn Cemetery in Colma. Friends may call from 6 to 8 tonight at the Chapel of the Hills in San Anselmo.
