John Ponini, a native of Switzerland, died of shock in San Rafael Sanatorium Sunday night, aged 107 years. The deceased, who came here from Petaluma, has been an inmate of the county farm for ten years, and was in usual health when the fire broke out in the main building on Sunday morning. He died from the effects of the excitement a few hours after he reached the hospital.
