PHYLLIS DAVIES LUCE ATKIND
Phyllis Davies Luce Atkind of San Francisco, stepmother of Corinne Adams Anderson of San Anselmo, died Thursday at Victorian Manor in San Francisco. Mrs. Atkind, a former opera singer and vaudeville performer, was 95.
She was born in London and came to the United States in 1950. Under the stage name of Phyllis Davis, she belonged to the Carl Rosa, Boston Milton Aborn opera companies. She also owned, managed and performed in an operatic vaudeville act that toured the United States and Canada between 1919 and 1928.
In addition to her stepdaughter, she is survived by two grandsons and three great-grandchildren.
No services are planned.
Mrs. Atkind’s body was donated to the University of California Medical Center for medical research.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the Arthritis Foundation.
