JAMES J. MULLIGAN
A graveside service for James J. Mulligan of Petaluma, a retired Hamilton Air Force Base employee, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cypress Hill Memorial Park in Petaluma.
Mr. Mulligan died Sunday at a convalescent hospital in Barnwell, S.C., where he had been visiting with a daughter. He was 66.
He was born in Lowell, Mass., and reared in Lawrence, Mass. Mr. Mulligan served in the Army during World War II and later transferred to the Air Force, making a 20-year career. He retired in 1964.
Mr. Mulligan then worked in civil service in the supply division at Hamilton Air Force Base for 20 years. He retired again in 1984.
He was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Petaluma.
His wife, Margaret Mulligan, died previously.
He is survived by his daughter, Joyce Cornwell of Barnwell, S.C.; a stepdaughter, Barbara Sinclair of Barefoot Bay, Fla.; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call at 7 tonight at the Parent-Sorensen Mortuary in Petaluma.
