Arthur R. Ekman Rites Wednesday

Arthur R. Ekman of San Rafael, Marin county salesman for Hamilton Tailoring company of Cincinnati, died from a sudden heart attack early this morning at his home, 37 Latham street, San Rafael. He was 60. He had been under a doctor’s care for about three years and was suddenly stricken about 3:45 this morning. San Rafael police and firemen were called and worked on the victim with inhalator and resuscitator. Dr. Dallas Wagner pronounced Ekman dead.

Ekman had lived with his wife Myrtle in San Rafael for three years. A native of Minnesota, he was a veteran of World War I and member of the First Baptist church, San Rafael.

Surviving him, besides his widow, are sons Arthur and Ramon Norris Ekman of Novato, and J. Leon Ekman of San Francisco; brothers, Elmer F., Ralph B. and Cecil A. Ekman of Minnesota; and grandchildren Marie and Larena Ann Ekman of Novato.

Funeral services will be held 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at Keaton’s mortuary, San Rafael. Interment will be at Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno.
