ROBERT J. LISTMAN
Robert J. Listman of Novato died Tuesday at Kaiser Hospital in San Rafael after a brief illness. He was 62.
Mr. Listman was born in San Francisco and had lived in Novato for more than 34 years.
He retired a year ago from a 23-year civil service career. Mr. Listman worked in the motor pool at Hamilton Air Force Base until its closure. He then worked 12 years as a fuel tank operator at Mare Island Naval Shipyard.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
Mr. Listman was an avid fisherman. He was a member of the Marin Rod and Gun Club and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Novato.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Betty Listman of Novato; a son, Matt Listman of Novato; a daughter, Linda Hutchinson of Sebastopol; his mother, Carolyn Listman of Novato; a sister, Carolyn J. Tompioner of San Rafael; a brother, Henry Listman of San Rafael; and a grandson.
At his request, no service will be held.
The family prefers that contributions be made to a favorite charity.
