MARY I. THORN
Mary I. Thorn of San Rafael died Wednesday at Kaiser Hospital in Terra Linda after a lengthy illness. She was 65.
Mrs. Thorn was born in Mill Valley and lived in Marin County all her life.
She was an active volunteer with the Heart Association.
She is survived by a son, Layton J. Thorn of Maxwell , N.M.; a daughter, Marilyn Hall of San Rafael; a sister, Olga Casteel of San Rafael; a brother, Joseph Thoney of Sacramento; and her former husband, Layton A. Thorn of Petaluma.
No service will be held.
Her family asked that memorial contributions go to the Marin Heart Association.
