LENORE ‘LEE’ SCHOFF
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Novato for Lenore “Lee” Schoff of Novato.

The former Lenore King was born in San Luis Obispo. She moved to Marin in 1922.
Mrs. Schoff organized the first Marin Girl Scout troop in 1934, according to her son, Harlan Schoff of San Francisco. She remained an active volunteer with the Girl Scouts for the rest of her life. She also donated time to the Boy Scouts.
She worked for 15 years as a physical education teacher at Katharine Branson School in Ross.
She also is survived by a second son, Clifford Schoff of Pittsburgh, Pa., and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Schoff donated her body to the University of California at San Francisco for scientific research.
The family prefers memorial gifts to the Leonard Schoff Memorial Scholarship Fund at the College of Marin or to the Novato Girl Scouts Association.
