WALTER “BUZZ” KILBORN
The funeral will be held Saturday in Nebraska for Walter “Buzz” Kilborn, a former longtime Marin resident and businessman.
Mr. Kilborn died Tuesday at his home in Columbus, Neb., at the age of 76.
He was born in San Francisco and moved to Marin in 1920. He lived in Novato for about four years before moving to San Rafael. He went to Nebraska in 1970 to be near his daughter.
During World War II and up to 1962, he owned and operated Buzz Kilborn’s Tire Service in San Rafael.
Surviving are his daughter, Barbara Hicks of Columbus, Neb.; a son, Kenneth Kilborn of Redding, Shasta County; two brothers, Donald Kilborn of Boyes Hot Springs; and three grandchildren (sic).
The family prefers memorial donations to the American Heart Association-Marin Chapter, 1363 Lincoln Ave., San Rafael, 94901.
