Pioneer Lady Passes Away
Death of Mrs. Elizabeth Boyd Monday Morning
After an illness of several weeks, Mrs. Elizabeth Boyd, mother of City Attorney Thos. P. Boyd, died at her home on E street on Monday morning, July 7th. She was a native of Philadelphia but had been a resident of San Rafael for the past thirty-eight years, and was aged fifty-nine years, eleven months and twenty=seven days. She was the widow of Wm. A. Boyd, who died August 9, 1884, and was the beloved mother of Wm. J., Elizabeth F., Mary E. and Thos. P. Boyd, and Mrs. Jane Browne. The funeral services will be held from the late residence, 216 E street, this (Thursday) morning at 9 a.m.; thence to St. Raphael’s church, where a solemn requiem mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul. Interment at Mt. Olivet cemetery.
