ALFRED A. CAZZANIGA
Alfred A. Cazzaniga of Novato, retired owner of a meat-processing firm, died Sunday at a local hospital after a long illness.
A native of Switzerland, Cazzaniga, 77, came to California at age 20. He lived for many years in San Francisco and moved to Novato in 1947.
He owned a wholesale meat firm, Home Sausage Co., in San Francisco for many years but retired about 16 years ago.
Surviving are his wife, Emma Cazzaniga of Novato; his daughter, Eva Marie Hall of Redding; two grandchildren; and sisters and brothers in Switzerland.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Loretto Church in Novato. Burial will be private.
The rosary will be said Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the Redwood Chapel Funeral Home in Novato.
The family has asked that memorial gifts go to the American Heart Association.
