Death of a Pioneer Lady
Mrs. Ann O’Toole, a pioneer lady, died in San Rafael early Sunday morning at t he residence of City Attorney Thomas P. Boyd. She was the widow of John O’Toole, was a native of Ireland, and came to California and settled in Marin county as one of the pioneers. She was the mother of Mrs. Elizabeth Boyd, Mrs. Mary A. Bustin and John F. O’Toole, and grandmother of Mrs. Clyde N. Browne, Mrs. Charles Almy, Wm. J., Thos. P., Estella and M. E. Boyd, and John, Frank and George Bustin, and John, Fred and Lawrence O’Toole, and great grandmother of John, Frank and James Bustin, Azalia Almy and Lawrence Browne. Mrs. O’Toole was a highly respected lady and at the time of her death was 89 years, 2 months and 4 days old.
The funeral services were conducted at the home of T. P. Boyd and thence to St. Raphael’s church were a solemn requiem mass was celebrated for the repose of her soul, Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock.
