Mrs. Albert Dibblee Dies in Japan

On Sunday, September 14th, a cablegram was received here from Kioto, Japan at 3 o’clock, announcing the serious illness of Mrs. Albert Dibblee of Ross, who was at that place.

At 6 o’clock the same evening another cablegram announced her death from uremic poison.

The remains were shipped on the steamer Persia which left Japan and is due to arriver here Oct. 10th. The date and arrangements for the funeral have not yet been announced.

Mrs. Dibblee was one of the highly esteemed citizens of Ross and was the mother of Albert, Harrison and Benjamin Dibblee, all prominent and well-known in San Francisco and Marin county.

Mrs. Dibblee’s Funeral

The remains of Mrs. Dibblee, whose death took place in China a few weeks ago, will arrive in San Francisco on the steamer Persia Saturday, and be taken to the family home in Ross.

Preparations for an elaborate funeral are being made, the services to take place at St. John’s Episcopal church in Ross. The funeral sermon will be preached by Rev. Hubert Cowley-Carroll at 11 o’clock Monday morning, and interment will be made in Tamalpais cemetery.
