Commits Suicide on Tamalpais
Failing in his ambition to become a lawyer and jilted in love, C. Bungaard climbed the slopes of Mount Tamalpais pinned a note of farewell upon the door of his cabin and emptied the contents of a revolver chamber into his brains last Sunday.
For many years he had devoted his spare moments to the study of law. Not financially situated to attend school he would work a month and then study for that length of time in close confinement until his store of feed was exhausted. Having a very limited fundamental education he encountered complexities in his study which he was unable to masters.
Walter Waechtler who has a cabin on Tamalpais found the body of the suicide shortly after the deed have been committed. F. E. Sawyer was notified and took charge of the body.
