Death of Local Mail Carrier
Charles Lothrop, a former mail carrier connected with the local post office, died at his home in Berkeley Tuesday from heart trouble, aggravated by injuries received here in an automobile accident in the early part of July.
Mr. Lothrop was transferred from San Francisco to this office and had been employed but a few days when he was struck by a machine while on his route. The results of his accident incapacitating him, he moved to Berkeley with his wife and child. He was about 47 years of age, and was a member of the Woodmen of the World and the Railroad Mail Clerks’ Association.
The funeral and burial will take place today in San Francisco.
