Lt. Col. BRUCE E. SHULT

A full military service for Bruce Edwin Shult of Corte Madera, a retired Army lieutenant colonel, has been held at San Francisco National Cemetery.

Colonel Shult, 70, died June 2 at Letterman General Hospital at the Presidio in San Francisco.

He was a native of Pennsylvania.

Colonel Shult was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, retiring in 1957 after 21 years of service. After his retirement, he worked for the Federal Reserve Bank in San Francisco.

He was a member of the Newport News, Va., Masonic lodge, the Reserve Officers Association and the Association of Retired Officers.

Survivors are his wife, Elizabeth P. Shult of Corte Madera; a son, Bruce E. Shult Jr. of Berlin; a granddaughter; a brother, Irvin Shult of Williamsport, Pa.; and a sister, Marian Cleveland of Frederick, Md.
