FRANCES PETKOVICH
Frances Petkovich of San Rafael died Sunday at Kaiser Hospital in San Rafael after a long illness. She was 56.
Mrs. Petkovich was born in Blato on the Isle of Korcula in Yugoslavia. She left Yugoslavia and came to the United States in 1955. She moved from San Francisco to Marin in 1961.
She is survived by her husband, Antone Petkovich, owner of Tony’s Barbershop in San Rafael; two sons, Frank Petkovich of San Rafael and Anthony Petkovich of Los Gatos; her father, Koste Bosnic of Sydney, Australia; one sister, Marija Surgan of Sydney; and two brothers, Ante and Koste Bosnic, both of Sydney.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Raphael’s Church in San Rafael. Burial will be in Golden Gate National Cemetery at San Bruno. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Chapel of the Hills in San Anselmo. Friends may call after noon on Wednesday.
