CHERYL SIMON
An informal memorial gathering for Cheryl Simon of Novato will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Parent-Sorensen Funeral Chapel in Petaluma.
Mrs. Simon died Sunday in her home after a brief illness. She was 65.
She moved to Novato with her family in 1960 and worked 18 years as a hair stylist and manicurist in several hair salons before retiring.
She was born in Snowflake, Ariz., and reared and educated in Utah.
Mrs. Simon is survived by four children, Merry Worswick of Petaluma, Lindy Simon of Novato, Lee Morris Simon of Novato and Jill Simon of San Rafael; four grandchildren; and 10 brothers and sisters, Laura, Donna, Beth, Jan, Garth, Paul, Phyllis, Millie, Karla, and JoAnne, all of Utah, Colorado and Alaska.
Friends may visit at the mortuary from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday. There will be a time of remembrance with the family at 3 p.m.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the Ethiopia Relief Fund.
