Mike Casey Passes Away Thursday
Matthew Casey, a well known employee of the Golden Gate Distributing Co., died this morning at the Cottage hospital in San Rafael after about a ten-day illness. Casey was stricken with appendicitis in Novato while delivering merchandise and was rushed to the hospital, where an emergency operation was performed. His condition at first seemed to be satisfactory but in the last few days there was a decided turn for the worse and he passed away this morning.
Casey, who was known to his hundreds of friends as “Mike,” was born in Ireland 29 years ago. He made his residence on Woodland Avenue, San Anselmo. Surviving him are his sisters, Helen and Mary Casey, Mrs. Jack McNamara, Mrs. O’Rooney. He was a nephew of Judge Casey of Martinez. Funeral arrangements have not been made.
