Burned to Death at Kentfield

A sad accident occurred at Kentfield Wednesday afternoon, when little six-year-old Marion Carroll Fish, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dudley F. Fish, was burned to death.

The child was playing in front of an open fire=place when in some way its clothing caught fire. The little one immediately ran to its grandmother, who at the risk of her own life, did her best to extinguish the flames of her little pet before it was too late.

The child, however, was so badly burned that it died from its injuries. The grandmother was also badly burned but it is thought she will recover.

Mrs. Fish, the mother of the child, was in San Francisco, buying Xmas presents and knew nothing of the accident until she returned and found her child burned to death.

The sympathy of the community is extended to Mr. and Mrs. Fish in the loss of their little one.
