Drowned at Sausalito

John Murray, a marine engineer, formerly of 34 Pearle street, San Francisco, was drowned November 19th at Sausalito. He hired a boat of W. Woodward, for the purpose of rowing to a launch for inspection that was anchored some distance from shore.

He was seen to remove his coat and shortly after his body was seen floating by one of the boatmen nearby. A rope was thrown around the body and it was brought to shore.

Dr. Sullivan of Sausalito was called, but was unable to restore him. His death was a mystery, but was supposed by many to be accidental.
