Auto Crash Kills One, Injures Two

When an automobile crashed over a seventy-five foot embankment on the Corte Madera Grade Tuesday night, one man was instantly killed, and two people were seriously injured. The man who succumbed instantly when the car took its fatal plunge was the Rev. Anthony Heneghan of Santa Rosa. The priest is a well known man in Santa Rosa, having been the clergyman there at St. Rose’s Church for over a year.

Also riding in the car was John McVeigh, 35 of Chicago, Patricia and Helen Duffy, 7 and 11. McVeigh is seriously hurt, and may die. Patricia is also badly hurt with cuts and bruises. McVeigh suffered internal injuries. Helen was unhurt.

The two Duffy girls are daughters of Patrick Duffy, a restaurant owner of San Francisco.

The injured were taken to the Ross General Hospital.
