Girl Drowned at Bath House
The sad death of little Luella Emma Swickard, seven year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Moran, was a shock to their many friends.
The little girl was playing with a friend on a raft in the pond just below the Northwestern Railroad. It was supposed the child reached forward on a plank attached to the raft to get into a boat nearby, and lost her balance and fell in, and was drowned before assistance could be had.
The body was found by L. Beker, who has charge of the town at the Union depot.
Dr. Jones was summoned and the child was taken to the Cottage hospital, but life was extinct.
The funeral will be held from the undertaking parlors of F. W. Sawyer Thursday at two o’clock P. M. Interment at Mt. Tamalpais cemetery.
Many friends of the family viewed the remains to extend their sympathy to the sorrowing parents.
