JASON W. THIGPEN
Jason W. Thigpen of Novato, a young boy who enjoyed playing football and baseball, died at Novato Community Hospital Friday, Oct. 30, 1987.
He was 10.
The youngster apparently died of a severe cerebral hemorrhage. An autopsy has been scheduled to confirm the diagnosis.
Jason, a native of San Francisco, was a fifth grade student at Rancho School in Novato and had received high academic marks.
He was a member of the The Trojans Little League baseball team and The Colts Pop Warner football team. His hobbies included building model rockets, according to his identical twin brother, Jehrome.
Jason also is survived by his parents, Karen and James Thigpen of Novato, and his grandmother, Hattie Hunt.
A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Novato.
Friends may call for visitation, from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1 at Keaton’s Chapel of Marin in Novato.
Interment will be at Valley Memorial Park in Novato.
Jason was an organ donor for five people.
The family asks that donations be made to the Jason Thigpen Memorial Fund, 28 Driftwood Ave., Novato 94945.
