WILLIAM C. WOOLSTON
William Chapell Woolston, 67, died Tuesday in Eugene, Ore., after a short illness.
He was a native of Pasadena.
Mr. Woolston had lived in Marin County since 1956, making his home in Kentfield and Mill Valley.
He was a graduate of Stanford University and attended the executive development program at the university’s business school.
Mr. Woolston was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity and a member of the Rotary Club in San Francisco.
He worked for many years as a regional vice president of McGraw-Hill Inc., in the publishing company’s magazine section.
Mr. Woolston retired and moved to Oregon in 1984.
He is survived by his former wife, Karin Clark Woolston of Greenbrae; two daughters, Patricia Smith and Janice Modesitt of Eugene, Ore.; a son, Clark Woolston of Novato; a sister, Janice Jurgensen of Pasadena; and four grandchildren.
A private funeral service will be held in Eugene, Ore.
The family prefers contributions to the American Cancer Society.
