Man Found In Bay Was Former Official

Through letters and documents found in his clothing, the body of a man found floating off the Key Route pier late Monday night has been identified as John A. Overmuller, 57 years old and former city clerk of Hayward, where his family now lives. It is believed that Overmuller jumped from a Sausalito Ferryboat on February 8 after brooding over ill health, having been a sufferer from Bright’s disease. He is survived by a widow, two sons and two daughters – John and George Overmuller and the Misses Rose and Margaret.

The Overmuller family are very well known in San Rafael having resided here for a number of years.
