MARJORIE CHAILLE

Marjorie Chaille of San Anselmo died Sunday at Ross General Hospital. She was 74.
Arrangements are being handled by Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael.

MARJORIE A. CHAILLE

Private family services were held today for Marjorie A. Chaille, a longtime San Anselmo resident who was active in Marin political and charitable organizations.

Mrs. Chaille died Sunday at Ross General Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 75.

She was born in San Francisco and had lived in Main County since 1914.

She was past president of the Nazareth House Auxiliary and the Marin Federation of Republican Women. She also belonged to the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, El Marinero Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was women’s vice president of the Marin Republican Central Committee.

Survivors are her husband, J. Lee Chaille; two sons, John L. Chaille of Rochester, N.Y., and James Chaille of Petaluma; a sister, Josephine Hinkley of Kentfield; and one grandson.

A private inurnment was at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Colma.

The family has asked that memorial donations be sent to the Marin Mammal Center, Fort Cronkhite, Sausalito.
