EARL COVELL
A Mass of Christian Burial for Earl Covell of Petaluma was to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in San Pablo.
Mr. Covell died Saturday in Petaluma after a lengthy illness. He was 73.
He was born in Davis and lived 50 years in Richmond before moving to Petaluma in 1968. Mr. Covell had worked 36 years as a boilermaker for Shell Chemical in Martinez.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Petaluma.
He is survived by his wife, Hilda Covell of Petaluma; three daughters, Cecelia Curtis of San Anselmo, Cathleen Silva and Joan Covell, both of Petaluma; six sons, Henry Covell of El Sobrante, Edwin Covell of Richmond, George Covell of San Anselmo, Dennis Covell of Sebastopol, Daniel Covell of Petaluma and Timothy Covell of Santa Rosa; two sisters, Teresa Lewis and Henrietta Freitas, both of Richmond; and 14 grandchildren.
