JILL L. BOLTHOUSE
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at the Episcopal church of Our Saviour in Mill Valley for Jill L. Bolthouse, a longtime Marin resident and local actress.
Mrs. Bolthouse, 79, died of cancer Sunday at her home.
She was a native of Australia and came to Marin in 1947 to marry her husband, Donn Bolthouse. The couple had met in Sydney, Australia, in 1945, when Mr. Bolthouse was there with the Navy.
During her first nine years in Marin, Mrs. Bolthouse lived in Sausalito, where she was a member of the Sausalito Little Theater and had starring roles in “Night Must Fall,” “Dangerous Corner” and “Hasty Heart.”
She also worked in antique shops in Tiburon and San Francisco.
Mrs. Bolthouse was an active member of the international organization, the Daughters of the British Emmpire. She also belonged to the Rector’s Guild of the Church of Our Saviour.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a niece, Jill Dewez of Sydney.
The family prefers memorial contributions to Hospice of Marin, 77 Mark Drive, San Rafael, 94903.
